Let’s get to the root and find that pearl you have been looking for. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and it’s not an oncoming train.

Trauma does not have the last word. The cross has the final Word.

How do we heal from trauma? Is there hope?

Healing requires someone to be with you in the shame/feelings. You need to know someone is coming to find you in your shame/pain.

Curt Thompson says shame stuck in our bodies is like being nauseous and not being able to throw up.

As a RN I understand this statement. We heal through finding spaces where safe people who understand trauma can be glad to be with us and validate our experiences. Being with safe people and being aware of our deep shame will lead to the freedom from lies and carry you out into the light of Truth. You may very well be surprised at the good things you will see within yourself.

As survivors of trauma many times we have learned how to survive and not thrive. We have become human doings instead of human beings. Be still and know that God is on your side and He is coming for you.
